This site is to wake up the church for the times
we are in and to show the church to not be caught up with power
gifts; signs and wonders and false revivals but a time of seeking
God's mercy over this country. Judgment is coming soon to America!
Many events are about to happen such as the election
in 2008. Who we pick will make a difference in how our lives will
be effected forever. It will also determine if we stay as America
or loose our soverenty.
Why pay attention to modern day
prophecies?

Why does God speak to us today through prophetic messages?
· For comfort – to let us know he’s in control
· Edification – to teach us things we need to know
· Exhortation – to prompt us to act where we need to
How do we personally receive prophetic messages today?

· Gift of prophecy
· Visions, dreams, word pictures
How do we receive prophetic messages from others?
· Prophets in the church
· Books, articles, written by or about prophets
· Internet sites
What is our responsibility to seek out prophetic messages?
· Should we depend wholly on our denomination, pastors,
teachers?
· What else should we do?
How do we know if prophetic messages are authoritative? Deut 18:20-22
· Compare to the Word
· Examine the prophet’s background and track record
· Compare to the body of prophetic messages
How do we interpret prophetic messages? Acts 11:28-30; 21:10-11
· Literal or figurative/symbolic?
· General or personal?
· Timing—absolute or relative?
How do we apply prophetic messages? Jn 16:13; 1 Cor 14:3
· Comfort
· Edification
· Exhortation
Is there a wrong way to receive
visions and prophetic words? Yes
· Through divination: How!
· Christian works mixing
with eastern mystism when you empty your mind, go inward, etc.
God's way is active where your mind is engaged not emptied..
God's way is active and satan's
way is passive.
· Practices that are
considered Christian: 1. contemplative prayer 2. contemplative
prayer 3. soaking prayer and visualization which the body of
Christ is saying our imagination. This is when you mix scriptures
of truth with the eastern ways. The new age also uses scripture
but in other blatent forms such as Yoga, TM, biofeedback, Chakra
meditation, hypnosis, etc. All these ways take you to altered
state of consciousness - enlightenment. When you empty your
mind, something else has to come in. "The goal is to reach
a light trance state, sometimes called the Alpha State which
is the first step in yogic meditation, and most related forms
of mind exploration. With guidance and practice, meditation
can lead to breath- taking experiences or cosmic at- oneness
